Swamiji: Power of intention relates to the mind's potential, truly of Consciousness. Mind-intelligence-ego is the display of the Supreme Consciousness, the Soul. The whole world consists of matter and energy. Besides these two, Consciousness alone is there, animating and activating matter, as you find in our body. Whatever powers are attributed to God, are, when studied well, the potential of Consciousness alone. This means that all the creative, destructive and preservative powers God has, are in fact held by Consciousness also.
As the mind is Consciousness manifest, it also has to an extent Godly potential. This potential is called 'sankalpa'. It denotes the deliberateness and willfulness of the mind. See, actions are but a sequence from the mind. They originate, subsist on and conclude in the mind.
Does this not mean that in the actional world, mind is the sole determining factor? Intention, if at all, denotes this functional display of the mind. By the process of intention alone is everything done.
If there is any force to act upon the material world, it is the mind. The earth has become a different place than the moon solely because of the handiwork of the human mind's potential and intent.
To conceive, conceptualize, aspire, wish and will means an indefinable creative measure. For the time being, use this inner potential to a reasonable level. It is not that one starts behaving "as if he has got what he desired". That would be unrealistic, if not a mockery.
But will and wish well, more deeply, deliberately. Do not bring any notes harmful to others or to yourself. Retrogressive or degenerative traits are also to be shunned.
Power of thought is boundless. God Himself did the creation by dint of His thought process!
