Discussing the verses from the last portion of Kathopanishad, Nutan Swamiji describes in detail the two aspects of spiritual sadhana - the meditational and interactional.
In meditational sadhana, the emphasis is on the direct experience of the Self. When the senses, mind and intelligence are gently led to a state of quietitude, but yet alert - the Self reveals itself. This 'svanubhava' is necessary to recognize the truth that the Self alone is the substratum on which the whole world, including this body-mind personality subsists on and dissolves into.
But the moment the senses, mind and buddhi become active again, we completely miss the all revealing Self amidst the barrage of object perceptions and the world begins to trouble us. So the seeker, deriving from his samadhi experience and also with the help of truthful introspection, has to gradually transform the buddhi, until finally the knowledge that - 'There is nothing other than Consciousness at all', becomes his own!
Swamiji will be discussing 'Voice of Upanishads'. The Global Satsang will be based on Kathopanishad and Mundakopanishad. | Live Satsangs with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST.
