Ma Gurupriya

076 – Towards Eternal Peace and Happiness | Swamini Ma Gurupriya

866 Views | 2 years ago

In this beautiful satsang, Ma stresses on the importance of acquiring and developing Sattva Guna, to progress in our sadhana.

Ma enlightens us that at any time, our mind is a dynamic mixture of three gunas - Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. Out of the three, Sattva Guna - of the nature of joy, wisdom and illumination - alone conduces to liberation. When Sattva guna increases, our mind will become more and more sensitive to the presence of undesirable traits and will act to eliminate them.

Ma enlightens us how the harmful tendencies of Tamas can be restrained by taking up activity (which is a quality of Rajas). If the activity we take up is Sattvic in nature, like listening or reading spiritual texts, or doing service to Mahatmas, then through that very effort both Tamas and Rajas will be subdued and Sattva Guna will take predominance in our being!

Mā's Satsang is entitled 'Towards Eternal Peace and Happiness' based on Bhagavad Gita, Vivekachudamani, Yoga Vasistha Ramayanam and Bhagavatam | | Live Global Satsang with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/ 10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST
