Ma Gurupriya

050 – Freedom From The Fever Of Worldliness – Part 3 | Swamini Ma Gurupriya

1020 Views | 3 years ago

In this enriching satsang, Ma tells us that desire is at the root of the fever of worldliness. This fever keeps us trapped in the maze of 'I' and 'mine' and distracts us from the real purpose of our life. Though we are unaffected, unchanging and all pervading like the sky, we needlessly court suffering by identifying with the body-mind identity.

Ma explains that Maya, with its inscrutable powers of tamas and rajas, first veils our real nature and make us believe we are the limited body-mind identity and then binds us through various activities of the world. The end result being suffering alone.

The only way out is to cultivate more and more of sattva guna. Unless we are constantly attentive to our constricting traits and steadfast in getting rid of them, self realization will remain a distant goal. Ma exhorts us to cultivate the qualities of the Self in our minds, by loving the quality and being humble and open to absorb it.

Mā's Satsang is entitled 'Towards Eternal Peace and Happiness' based on Bhagavad Gita, Vivekachudamani, Yoga Vasistha Ramayanam and Bhagavatam | | Live Global Satsang with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/ 10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST
