शान्ता महान्तो निवसन्ति सन्तो
वसन्तवल्लोकहितं चरन्तः ।
तीर्णाः स्वयं भीमभवार्णवं जना-
नहेतुनान्यानपि तारयन्तः ॥

śāntā mahānto nivasanti santo
vasantaval-lokahitaṃ caranta: ।
tīrṇā: svayaṃ bhīma-bhavārṇavaṃ janān
ahetunānyān-api tārayanta: ॥

Saintly people, calm and magnanimous, live like the spring season, committed to the welfare of the world. Having crossed the dreadful sea of worldliness, they take others also across without any self-interest.
