In this talk, Swamiji continues to discuss the most-adored figure of Sri Krishna.
Discussing and analyzing Krishna’s personality, Swamiji says that Sri Krishna is called Bhagavan in the text. Swamiji enumerates the six qualities that give a Godly dimension to a human being.
Quoting various examples from the life of Krishna, Swamiji says that Krishna was replete with wisdom, abundance, dispassion, radiance, righteousness and completeness. He was a human but had Godly dimensions in him. Swamiji assures us that every human being can elevate himself to a Godly dimension.
Krishna has an enigmatic personality with seeming contradictions. Swamiji recounts some anecdotes from Krishna’s life to reveal this fascinating aspect and says that it takes a subtle and perceptive intelligence to understand Sri Krishna’s personality.
Narrating various conversations between Uddhava and Sri Krishna, Udhava and Maitreya, and a sporting conversation between Krishna and Rukmini, Swamiji emphasizes that these stories may delight the heart but the inherent wisdom behind Sri Krishna’s words should not be missed. The dominant underlying message always is about the inner supreme presence.
