In this talk, Swamiji clarifies an important question which forces our minds to introspect. “Why should we pray to all the various kinds of natural powers/ Devas?”

It is nature that has created us and is sustaining us. When we connect to Nature, it generates a universal dimension in us. We start becoming aware that we are not an independent existence. We understand that the whole existence is bound together in a beautiful harmony.

Quoting verses from various scriptures, Swamiji analyses the next Shanti Mantra where one seeks protection and nourishment for both the Guru and the pupil. The explanation by Swamiji makes the listener understand the deep, lofty and universal dimension of the prayer.
