Amidst pin-drop silence in the palace of Ayodhya, Sages descended from celestial realms to join those in the palace upon hearing the dispassionate cry of Sri Rama’s heart. The scene is additionally brought to life and made relevant by Ma Gurupriya’s sharing of scenes she herself had lived through, where the meeting of great Saints had flooded the entire space with brilliant light. Such light remains in the heart and mind, and never dims.

Sage Viswamitra, in response to Rama’s enquiry, relates the intense yearning of another pure young man, Sukadeva, who also had the most dispassionate and desire-free mind, stable in Self-seatedness, unshakable in the face of worldly temptations. Sukadeva’s doubts came from not valuing the instructions of his own father, sage Vyasadeva.

Valuing the words of the ancient sages and the Wise Ones who continue to bring us the Knowledge of our Self, this is the Supreme lesson for us all. In the meetings Ma had witnessed, she was able to see the radiance and splendour with her inner vision, because she understood the value of what was taking place. It is now for us to give Supreme value to this Knowledge and the Spiritual Masters who live it, with full fondness in our hearts and minds.
