043 – Karma – Rebirth – Atma – Voice of Upanishads | Swami Nirviseshananda Tirtha

2324 Views | 2 years ago

In this satsang, Swamiji tells us that as spiritual seekers, we should keep away from all religious concepts which are non-experiential and focus on that which will lead us to the direct realization of our immortal Self.

The Atma in spirituality is the revealer of the whole universe, which includes our individual body-mind personality. It shines as the 'I' in us. Though revealing the infinite variety of objects, it remains untouched by them. The moment 'I' gets identified with an individual body-mind identity, it becomes constricted and mortal.

Swamiji explains that, being the subject, Atma cannot be known as something different from us. It is our own identity. However, due to the objectivising tendency of our mind, it always slips off our comprehension. So, we should apply our viveka-buddhi and dedicate it to the ultimate truth and finally get fused in it.

Swamiji will be discussing 'Voice of Upanishads'. The Global Satsang will be based on Kathopanishad and Mundakopanishad. | Live Satsangs with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST.
