Smitha Rani is the Samskrita Bharati Co-Ordinator of Southern California, Irvine Chapter. She has conducted many Spoken Sanskrit workshops for both adults and kids. She teaches, “Learn Sanskrit through Bhagavad Gita online classes”. She is an engineer and works in the IT industry in Southern California.

Ms Smitha Rani spoke at the Fifth Global Bhagavad Gita Convention-2022 held from 19th—21st February. The theme of this convention was Mental Harmony--The Universal Message. This convention was organized by the Center for Inner Resources Development--NA, under the guidance of Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha of Narayanashrama Tapovanam.

In her session, Ms. Smitha Rani spoke about the mellifluous and beautiful language Sanskrit and recited many beautiful shlokas. She spoke about the classes conducted by Samskrita Bharati all over the world. She spoke about her own journey of learning and teaching Sanskrit.

She introduced the listeners to “Gita Sopanam” which is a step-by-step course to achieve two goals: “To learn Sanskrit through Gita and Gita through Sanskrit”.
